After more than 25 years of service, Disney World’s beloved Jellyrolls piano bar will play its final notes in April 2025.
The iconic spot at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort has long been a fan favorite, but as with many Disney staples, change is inevitable. For regulars and fans of late-night dueling piano performances, this is a bittersweet goodbye. As the BoardWalk undergoes significant changes, the closure marks another page in Disney’s ever-evolving history.
Jellyrolls is more than just a bar. It’s an experience: dueling pianos, lively sing-alongs, and a nostalgic sense of Florida nightlife that has welcomed guests for over two decades. While it has been a staple of the BoardWalk since 1996, the bar wasn’t directly owned by Disney but was instead operated by a third-party company.
Farewell Party Details: A Final Chance to Experience Jellyrolls
For those who’ve spent countless nights at Jellyrolls, there is still one last chance to experience it in all its glory.
On April 19, 2025, Jellyrolls will host its “Final Farewell to the BoardWalk Performance.” Tickets for the event are priced at $22 per person, and doors will open at 6 p.m. with entertainment starting shortly thereafter at 6:15 p.m.
Seating will be first come, first served, and guests are advised not to save space for anyone who hasn’t arrived. The farewell party promises to be a lively, heartfelt celebration of what Jellyrolls has meant to its patrons.
The night will also offer complimentary parking at the BoardWalk, although availability will be limited, and guests will need to inform security of their plans to attend the event. While the new Jellyrolls location in Orlando is a step forward, it won’t have the same connection to Disney that the original spot has built over decades.
The Changing Landscape of Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
The transformation of Disney’s BoardWalk has been noticeable in recent years. The promenade, once known for its lively atmosphere and quirky charm, has introduced new eateries and shops, such as BoardWalk Deli and the popular Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers.
In 2023, the permanent closure of Big River Grille and Brewing Works, another third-party operation, signaled a shift toward fresh offerings at the resort.
While Jellyrolls’ closure may seem like the end of an era for Disney World, the BoardWalk is far from stagnant. For better or worse, Disney continues to introduce new concepts to the area. The Cake Bake Shop has received mixed reviews, especially for its high prices, but adjustments have been made since then.
Similarly, BoardWalk Ice Cream and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs have brought refreshing options to the scene, offering a broader selection for guests seeking something beyond the traditional Disney dining experience.
A key question, though, remains: what will replace Jellyrolls? Speculation suggests a jazz bar could be in the works. It would offer a refined alternative nighttime experience, with live music and a laid-back ambiance that complements the resort’s evolving vibe.
While no official details have been confirmed, Disney’s track record with refreshing and reimagining its entertainment offerings gives hope that the BoardWalk will remain a dynamic and exciting part of Disney World.
