Walt Disney World guest complaints aren’t unheard of. In fact, considering Disney guests pay so much for what can sometimes be a subpar experience, many of us can even sympathize with guest complaints…That being said, this complaint may have reached the wrong audience…

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort guests often have high expectations when it comes to their Disney vacations, but sometimes those expectations can set Disney fans up for a lot of disappointment.

One Disney World newcomer from the United Kingdom recently spent some time in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort, and he did not have nice things to say about his experience!

Back in England?

British TikToker Jason Verspaget shared footage from his Magic Kingdom visit, revealing extensive rain and cloudy skies.

This is absolutely not what I signed up for,” Jason complained in the video shown below. ”I’m not even gonna lie, I think this is the wettest I’ve been in weeks.”

Jason can be seen sharing a poncho with his companion as he continues to complain, declaring that visiting Magic Kingdom during a rainy day is “like being in England again.”

We have already seen some Disney Park guests demonstrating some pretty upsetting or dangerous behavior (Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, anyone?), so complaining profusely about Florida weather certainly doesn’t climb too high on the bad-behavior list.

However, TikToker Jason Verspaget is still facing some backlash for expressing so much disappointment and frustration with rain!

“I Paid a Lot To Get Here,” Walt Disney World Guest Complains

You weren’t expecting WEATHER? Good grief,” one person commented as they watched the international Disney World guest walk by Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, the surprisingly-hazardous Barnstormer roller coaster, and TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Florida is a tropical (and political) swamp,” another unimpressed follower wrote.

No Running!

However, the Disney guest continued to complain, reiterating that he “paid a lot to get here, and it’s raining every single day.”

Jason then proceeded to try running in the rainy theme park, which instantly resulted in a fall. “Don’t run in the Parks, kids!” the TikToker wrote in his video’s caption.

Have you ever experienced rainy weather on every day of your Disney vacation? Do you find it exhilarating and dance in the streets, like these Disney guests did, or do you spend most of your time there complaining? Tell us about it in the comments below!

  1. Dsney has no control over the weather. I understand his frustration but it’s not Disney that he should be frustrated with.

  2. You should have looked at the weather before you planned your trip , It’s raining everywhere and the wintertime it’s cold , We went to Disney in August and it rained and stormed, it’s raining in California, so you have do indoor things, they have lots of things to do in the parks ,rides that are indoors ,do things inside your resort, go to the malls ,the movies, eat out more ,just make the best of it you can still have fun, complain doesn’t help.

  3. that’s it! build a Disney-Dome and control the weather. we can’t have guests experience Florida when they come to Disney!

  4. Many years ago now, I spent a week in June in Walt DisneyWorld with my daughter and her family. It rained every day we were there, dressed in yellow ponchos and laughing every day. We really had a ball. Oh, the sun came out the day we left to return home!

  5. I worked at wdw for years and go many days a year after I stopped working. Weather is part of Florida accept it. Hot, rain. Lightning just enjoy the magic and enjoy your day. Water does not hurt….lol

  6. I’ve gone three times to Disney with family. The first time was in August 2018 and it rained and when it wasn’t raining the heat was horrendous however we still managed to enjoy all of Disney the next time I went in February of 2019 and no rain a little chilly at times and totally enjoyed it third time in December of 2019 just before the pandemic and that was probably the best time the kids could not swim at the resort but the weather was comfortable compared to where we come from in New York for that month and we had the full Disney experience. I guess that is why the snowbirds come home in May because they know not to go through the summer months. Disney cannot control the weather and you are the only one who can make your visit enjoyable. A bad attitude gets you nothing.

  7. I just got back from a DW/Universal trip and experienced every kind of weather. First three days were rainy and chilly, about 60-65 degrees by afternoon, then it cleared up and was nice and sunny in the 70s. Had 2 days of cloudy humidity 80+ degree weather, then the sky cleared and it got windy and low 70s, then the last day I was there was cold and dry only 59 degrees. I had checked the weather report before coming, listened to it every morning, and dressed appropriately every day! It’s just sensible planning, nothing more.

  8. To be fair in UK Florida is actually advertised as the sunshine state with an average temp of 72F! So if you don’t live here or have visited before you may not realise it can get cold and very often wet.
