Guest Jumps Out of Disney Ride Vehicle, Ignores Cast Members

One of the best parts about visiting Walt Disney World Resort is all the rides and attractions there are to enjoy. Between Disney World’s four theme parks — Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT — there are more than 60 fun attractions. There are attractions aimed at younger audiences, like “it’s a small world” and Journey Into Imagination With Figment. For the older and thrill-seeking crowds, there are some great options like Tower of Terror, TRON Lightcycle/Run, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

As many people know, before riding nearly every Disney attraction, Guests are told to keep their hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the ride vehicle at all times. This is done to ensure Guest safety. Unfortunately, some Guests don’t think that those rules apply to them. Many times, we’ve seen Guests putting their hands in the water on boat rides, spraying cheese product on Big Thunder, and even jumping out of a ride vehicle to retrieve a lost cell phone.

One of Disney World’s newest thrill rides is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. The indoor roller coaster takes Guests on a thrilling journey through a jump point to save the world as we know it. The ride is one of the most exciting to open at Disney World in years. However, as with every other attraction on property, sometimes the ride will break down. If that happens, Guests are asked to remain in their seats until the ride is up and running. If the ride breakdown is more serious, Cast Members will escort Guests off the ride.

Recently, Guests riding Cosmic Rewind experienced a breakdown. They all waited patiently as the lights came on, and they were informed that they would be escorted off the ride. Well, ALMOST all Guests waited patiently. One woman, however, decided that she no longer wanted to wait and jumped out of the ride vehicle.

Many commenters were shocked at the woman’s behavior. Some even called for her to be banned from the Parks. Others were shocked that the woman was able to shimmy out from behind the lap bar, so she could jump out of the car.

It was later revealed that, according to multiple people who were there, the ride had been down for about 20 to 30 minutes. The woman apparently had to go to the bathroom. She had asked numerous Cast Members for help in letting her out, but no one ever came. Finally, the woman could no longer hold it and had to jump out so she could make it to the bathroom in time.
