A visit to Princess Fairytale Hall is a tradition for countless Walt Disney World families. For years, guests have lined up behind Cinderella Castle to meet some of Disney's most beloved princesses, often without knowing exactly which royal visitors might be waiting inside.
Now, Disney has made a temporary adjustment that is changing how those meet-and-greet experiences work.

Guests arriving at Princess Fairytale Hall are finding that the attraction's princesses have effectively switched sides, creating a new setup that will remain in place through early July.
Princess Fairytale Hall operates with two separate queues. Under normal circumstances, Cinderella and Princess Tiana are split between those lines and each appears with a visiting princess. The additional character can vary, which helps keep the experience fresh for repeat visitors.
Recently, however, Disney updated the attraction's configuration.
Princess Tiana is now greeting guests alongside Cinderella rather than appearing in a separate queue. On the opposite side of the attraction, Disney is featuring two visiting princesses instead.
The change is immediately noticeable thanks to updated signs outside the attraction. One entrance now promotes both Cinderella and Tiana, while the other points guests toward a pair of visiting princesses.
That second queue could feature a variety of Disney royalty. Characters such as Rapunzel, Belle, Snow White, and others may appear, although Disney does not guarantee a specific lineup.

For some visitors, that uncertainty is part of the fun.
Princess Fairytale Hall has always included an element of surprise because Disney rotates certain princesses throughout the day and across different seasons. The attraction gives guests a chance to encounter characters they may not see elsewhere in the park.
Disney's official information indicates that this temporary arrangement will continue from June 7 through July 4. During that time, Cinderella and Tiana will share one side of the attraction while visiting princesses occupy the other.
What Disney has not shared is the reason behind the adjustment.
The company has offered no public explanation, leaving fans to simply enjoy the revised experience while it lasts. Whether the change relates to scheduling, operations, or something else entirely remains unclear.

Even so, the update serves as a reminder that Disney World is constantly evolving. While major attraction openings and large-scale construction projects often dominate headlines, smaller changes can significantly affect the guest experience as well.
Character locations, entertainment schedules, and meet-and-greet offerings frequently shift throughout the year. Guests who haven't visited in several months may discover entirely different experiences from the ones they remember.
For families heading to Magic Kingdom before July 4, the biggest takeaway is simple: don't expect the princesses to be in their usual places.
The characters themselves haven't disappeared, but Disney has temporarily rearranged where guests will find them. As a result, visitors may encounter a slightly different royal experience the next time they step into Princess Fairytale Hall.
