One of the more challenging parts of heading to Walt Disney World is what to do with your pet when you leave. Finding someone willing to come to your house and babysit your animal is nearly impossible, or you can board your animal and have to worry about its safety the entire time you’re gone. Either way, there isn’t really a good option.

But like everything else with a Disney World vacation, Disney has you covered for a cost. On its website, Disney World lists a Resort for Pets. You can drop your dog or cat off, and they can spend a few nights in Disney luxury while you and your family enjoy the parks.
The Disney World Pet Resort boasts a 17,000-square-foot air-conditioned indoor space, a 10,000-square-foot covered outdoor play space, and a 25,000-square-foot dog park. But that’s just the beginning. You then have to choose the type of stay your dog will receive.
The Best Friends Pet Hotel offers four different room types for your dog. The Club Suite offers your dog its own flat-screen TV, private patio, and several welcome gifts. If you choose the Club Suite, your dog will also be read its own bedtime story. Three other guest room selections won’t be nearly as costly, but the sky is the limit for your dog.
Disney will even allow you to bring pocket pets to Best Friends Pet Care, but you must provide an enclosure to keep your friend safe.
So, how much will this all-inclusive at Best Friends Pet Care set you back? Disney’s website doesn’t say, but reports are that it will cost more than $100 per night for your dog to be pampered at the Disney World Resort. That’s nearly the cost of a single-day Disney World theme park ticket.

But if you don’t want your dog to get pampered that much. Several other Walt Disney World Resort hotels are pet-friendly. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort–Riverside, and the cabins at the Fort Wilderness Resort offer dog-friendly accommodations. Upon arrival, you will receive a dog walking map and Plutos Welcome Kit, but you will still have to pay a pet fee.
So, should you bring your pet to the Walt Disney World Resort? Why not put them up at Disney’s Best Friends Pet Hotel if you’re willing to pay?
But remember, only a service dog is allowed in any Disney Park and most other Disney Resort areas. When a service dog and a regular dog mix, things can go terribly wrong.
