If you’re planning a Walt Disney World trip for 2026 and staying on property, there’s a small but noticeable update waiting at your resort’s beverage station.
Disney has quietly raised the price of its Rapid Refillable Mug — a resort staple many guests purchase without a second thought — while simultaneously rolling out a brand-new design.
It’s not a dramatic overhaul. But it’s another example of how even the smallest parts of a Disney vacation continue to evolve.

The New $22.99 Reality
The Rapid Refillable Mug now costs $22.99, up from $21.99 just months ago.
That $1 increase may not seem significant on its own, but multiply it across an entire family and it becomes part of a broader budgeting conversation. With ticket prices rising, Lightning Lane costs varying by day, and resort rates fluctuating throughout the year, guests are paying closer attention to every line item.
The mug’s new price fits neatly into Disney’s pattern of incremental adjustments — not shocking, but steady.
A Full Design Refresh
Alongside the price change, Disney has fully transitioned to a new mug design across Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
The updated version features Pixar characters alongside iconic park imagery, replacing the previous style entirely. The old design has been phased out, making the refreshed look the standard moving forward.
Guests can select from four accent colors — orange, blue, pink, or purple — which adds a small customization element that families tend to appreciate.
It’s clearly designed to feel collectible, which has always been part of the appeal.
Resort-Only Convenience
The Rapid Refillable Mug continues to function the same way it has in recent years.
It works exclusively at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, not inside the theme parks. You can refill it at any Disney-owned resort during your activation period, regardless of where you purchased it.
Each mug activates for up to 14 days, covering most vacations comfortably. After that period ends, the internal chip simply stops working.
For guests on the Disney Dining Plan, the mug remains included as part of the package.

A Small Change in a Bigger Pattern
On its own, this price increase might feel minor. But placed alongside other recent adjustments — from Lightning Lane tiers to dining price shifts — it becomes part of a larger trend.
Disney continues refining its pricing structure in subtle ways. The refillable mug may be a small part of the overall vacation experience, but for many guests, it’s a tradition. A first-day purchase. A souvenir that sticks around long after the trip ends.
In 2026, that tradition is still alive — it just comes with a slightly higher cost.
And for seasoned Disney fans, even the quietest price changes rarely go unnoticed.
