Disney World Replaces Longstanding Feature in Surprise App Overhaul

A major shake-up just hit the app, and it’s catching a lot of guests off guard. Disney has quietly removed one of the most familiar parts of the app — and replaced it with something entirely new.

For years, “My Day” was a staple for parkgoers. It was where guests checked their daily itineraries, dining reservations, and Lightning Lane selections. But that era has officially ended.

Farewell, “My Day”

In its place is the new “My Plans” feature — a single page designed to consolidate everything from your daily plans to future reservations. Instead of flipping between “My Day” and “Future Plans,” the app now puts it all in one streamlined space.

This means guests can scroll through their entire trip in one spot. If there’s no reservation or park plan for today, the app automatically shifts to your next scheduled activity. It’s a simple idea that could make navigating a packed Disney schedule a lot less stressful.

“Tip Board” Gets a Rebrand Too

The updates don’t stop there. The Tip Board — another longtime favorite tool for checking attraction waits — has been renamed “Wait Times & Showtimes.” With this change, Disney has separated real-time park info from daily planning entirely.

The design is cleaner, but some fans are already admitting it’ll take some time to get used to not toggling between the two as they once did.

Why This Is a Big Deal for Guests

Disney is leaning harder than ever into making its app the heart of the guest experience. Everything from hotel check-in to dining reservations and Lightning Lane purchases now flows through this platform. By simplifying how plans are displayed, the company is pushing for a more intuitive planning process — especially during busy travel seasons.

Fans React to the Change

Reaction online has been split. Some fans love the sleeker, faster navigation. Others feel like Disney has taken away a familiar tool that made their trips feel easy to manage. Regardless of the debate, this is one of the biggest Disney app shake-ups in a while.

So if you’re heading to the parks soon, don’t be surprised when you open the app and find that your old “My Day” is gone for good. The new “My Plans” is officially the future of Disney vacation planning.
