Going to the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort is a dream vacation for many Disney Fanatics all over the world. From incredible attractions like Cinderella Castle or Sleeping Beauty Castle, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park, to shows like “Fantasmic!” at any Disney Theme Park, or the wonderful character dining experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, there’s a lot for every Disney fan to take in and enjoy.
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
Of all of these attractions, one of the most iconic is Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. During the ride, Guests can “Fly the Millennium Falcon on a thrilling interactive smuggling mission,” and “Ride in the famous cockpit of the Millennium Falcon on a daring flight—and whether you’re a pilot, engineer or gunner, every role is crucial.” Per the Disneyland website, “The engines rumble as the Millennium Falcon blasts off, pushing you and your crew back into your seats when you jump into hyperspace towards adventure. Along the way you’ll face danger at every turn.”
Recently, however, the ride saw an enormous wait. Guests noted a 200-minute delay for the ride, leading one u/star_child77 to post the screenshot online asking if anyone knew what was happening.
Guests speculated in the thread about the reason behind this. One shared, “I saw on TikTok earlier that Smugglers Run was evacuated.”
What’s going on over at smugglers run?

However, the post brought out some unhappy experiences Guests had with the ride. One shared, “Wait 3.5 hours, finally ride, get stuck as engineer watching a tiny screen for a “press me now” prompt the whole time.”
Another shared, “I remember waiting 3.5 hours the first summer galaxy edge came out. There was an extended queue in the back with all the shipping crates. But all that waiting just to get gunner.”
While these kinds of situations are certainly unfortunate, Cast Members work extremely hard to get the rides back up and running as soon as possible. There is currently no official word from Disney about what the cause of this wait was.
