While we are still in the build-up to Halloween, it appears that we have new information regarding the highly-anticipated holiday takeover of EPCOT’s newest attraction.
Called Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind “Holiday Remix,” Guests will be able to experience all of the rock-out fun of their adventure through space and time with Star-Lord, Rocket Racoon, and Baby Groot while decked out appropriately for the season.

Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Producer Wyatt Winter spoke on the upcoming overlay, saying,
“This is an all-new, unique mash-up song .. taking a lot of your favorite holiday songs we all know and love… we created a new song with it. And our Imagineers were able to do some custom lyrics for it. You’re going to hear some fun stuff with it. This song will be the song you hear during the holiday season at EPCOT. It’s a lot of fun.. we got to test it and play it with it early this year.”
New artwork advertising the new attraction experience was also released.

Perhaps the one bittersweet aspect of this news is that it appears, at this moment, that Guests can only expect to hear one song during their roller coaster experience compared to the current experience that offers a random selection of a few songs from Star-Lord’s mix tape.
As Xandar’s unofficial ambassador to Earth–who had not lived on Earth since he was 12–it stands to reason that we can expect a queue filled with a fun comedy of errors as Disney’s resident off-worlders attempt to understand one of our favorite holidays.
Disney World describes Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on its website, in part, as the following:
“Take off on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Please note that in order to experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at any time, Guests will have to either join the virtual queue or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane Pass.
