To note is that when the restaurant reopens, it’ll be a different concept.

In the summer, when Trail’s End Restaurant reopens, it will be an open marketplace concept with expanded quick service options. Table service will no longer be offered at the restaurant as well.

Guests were disappointed that Disney did not give Guests a heads up about the closing date, considering how beloved the restaurant is. One shared, “It is disappointing that Disney didn’t give an official closing date until today. We went last night based on when reservations ended but a heads-up to all would have been nice.”

Another fan also shared that it was a shame the restaurant was closing while also noting it hadn’t been the same since the buffet option. “Hasn’t been the same since the buffet. Loved the feel of the place and the food was great. What a shame.”

Disney also clarified on its website that P&J’s Southern Takeout mobile ordering and The Chuck Wagon food truck are available while this restaurant was closed.
