There’s’ nothing quite like a Disney vacation. Both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, along with their Theme Parks—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s’ Animal Kingdom, Disney’s’ Hollywood Studios Theme Park, Disneyland Park, and Disney California Adventure—provide visitors with a unique chance to fully immerse themselves in the Disney experience.

Going to Walt Disney World is an experience like no other. From the myriad rides at each Disney Park, like Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, to the incredible shows and experiences on offer, like “Fantasmic!” there’s much for all Guests to enjoy. Disney also puts on some fan-favorite events for people from different cultures, backgrounds, and identities to enjoy. They even have unique Valentine’s Day-themed offerings.

But, despite all of this, it seems there’s trouble in the Magic Kingdom for some couples. Disney Guest, u/racheleng2415, took to Reddit to share that her husband had recently dropped the bomb on her that he “never wanted to go back to Disney World.” The OP was incredibly shocked and said she “didn’t know how to process the comment.”

She also added, “I love disney. The kids too. I like to go for 7-8 days every 1.5 years. I’d preferred to go every year.”

The OP ended by asking if any other Guests had faced this sort of situation, and as it turned out, many have chosen to leave their husbands behind when coming to Walt Disney World.

One user shared, “My dad hated it and made us leave early both times, so my mom stopped inviting him.”

Another also added, “I go without my husband all the time. Now that the kids are older, I go with friends. I don’t want someone there that is going to rain on my Disney parade. Just because we’ve been married over 30 years doesn’t mean we have to do everything together. Go anyway. Enjoy yourself. And don’t feel guilty.”

Of course, not every commenter agreed or felt this way. Many sympathized with the OP’s husband, and as we at Disney Fanatic have reported in the past, Disney World has even saved one couple’s marriage. While these were just a few Guests’ opinions on taking your significant other to Walt Disney World, it certainly opens the question of whether we will soon start seeing fewer couples at the Disney Resort.
