Zoom Through Disney’s History in Clever New Viral Video

The Disneyland Resort in California is celebrating its 68th birthday this month. The iconic theme park is now very much a senior, but that hasn’t stopped it from continuing to be a thriving experience for guests. The Walt Disney Company is getting pretty creative with its festivities for the milestone. In fact, one video it uploaded to social media has gone viral for its unique and clever approach to showing the history of the theme park through Walt Disney’s own eyes.

Happy Birthday Disneyland

California’s Disneyland Resort will always hold a special place in the hearts of fans. It is the original experience and has an atmosphere that is hard to replicate in any of the other theme parks worldwide. It opened on July 17, 1955, as an intimate experience classic attractions. Over the years, the location has seen major additions such as the California Adventure Park and many resort offerings.

Walt Disney was known for his creativity. Disneyland has locations showcasing his attention to detail and an incredible eye for developing fun attractions. A video celebrating the park’s birthday has taken this to a new level by utilizing a zoom function and some fantastic art.

Disneyland History Zoom Video

The viral video has amazed a lot of viewers online for its unique approach to displaying the history of Disneyland. The footage constantly shows a person’s hand as they zoom into certain sections of the amazing art of the park.

The zooms eventually reach spherical shapes in the images, such as Walt Disney’s eye or the center of Snow White’s crown. Once it reaches the center, the art switches to a new location. It makes for a fun watch as viewers never know where the zoom will focus on or what iconic image is coming next.

Disneyland Resort tweeted the image with the following caption:

“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome.” Zoom back with us to July 17, 1955 and relive #Disneyland’s opening day as we celebrate our 68th anniversary during the #Disney100 Celebration! Drop a  to help commemorate this special day!

There is no end to the creativity of some people. Disney cast members and Imagineers produce some of the most incredible content. While this Disneyland history video is quite simple, it is being recognized for just how neat the zoom approach can be when trying to show periods of time.
