Active Crime Scene Reported at Disneyland Resort, No Response Given

Disneyland Resort faced a chaotic Friday afternoon after a fire broke out in one of its parking garages. The Southern California theme park was left to manage both the aftermath of the blaze and a crime scene from days earlier.

The fire ignited on the fifth floor of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure at Disneyland Resort on April 4, 2025, consuming three or four vehicles. Park-goers caught the shocking sight of smoke billowing from the parking structure as the fire unfolded.

Emergency responders arrived promptly to handle the fire, but early reports indicated that challenges with the water supply delayed full containment. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries, though the area on the fifth floor remains blocked off as cleanup efforts continue.

In a strange twist, just before the fire, a separate, unrelated incident surfaced involving an alleged crime at Disneyland Park. The Instagram account @__dreampark__ posted a video showing a possible shoplifting scene outside Pioneer Mercantile in Frontierland. The footage captured merchandise security tags scattered on the ground from what appeared to be a recent theft.

“This is some Knott’s Berry Farm stuff man!” the Instagram user wrote.

It’s unclear if the suspects were apprehended. But Disneyland Park, like all Disney parks, is heavily surveilled with cameras and undercover cast members. Even if the shoplifters evaded immediate capture, their actions were likely noticed later in the day.

Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort guests are urged to avoid intervening in such situations. Instead, they should report any unsafe or illegal behavior to a nearby Disney cast member, allowing trained security professionals to handle and de-escalate potentially dangerous circumstances.
