A major security checkpoint overhaul is nearing completion at Disneyland Paris Resort's Disney Village. Construction that began in April 2025 has transformed the entrance screening area, with the new structure now approaching its grand opening after months of work.
Nine-Month Construction Process
Crews demolished the old security screening area at Disney Village last April before building the replacement from scratch. By October, aerial photos showed a completed roof frame but unfinished concrete flooring and construction equipment scattered across the site.

On January 14, the X (formerly Twitter) account @DLPReport shared photos showing significant progress at the site. Some construction walls have been removed, exposing painted walls and completed sections of the building. Hanging lanterns remain wrapped in protective plastic during final construction phases.
“🔧 And in the revolving list of ongoing projects, the new Disney Village security gate is nearing completion,” @DLPReport posted.

Final Touches Underway

DLP Works shared additional photos on Facebook showing crews installing a “new floor, a large planter, and new gates.” The bag check building structure is complete with nearly all themed elements installed. Disneyland Paris Resort is expected to install security equipment, such as metal detectors, once construction in the area finishes.

No Opening Date Announced
Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't confirmed when the new security checkpoint will begin operations. The project is part of broader Disney Village modernization efforts that include updates at McDonald's and Annette's diner, as well as the transformation of the original Disney Store into Disney Wonders, a franchise-based shop.
