Disney is making security procedure changes for incoming guests at one of its popular resort locations.
In April 2025, Disney Fanatic first reported on the ongoing construction of a new security area at Disney Village, which serves as Disneyland Paris Resort’s equivalent to Disney’s Downtown Disney District or Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. This construction project is one of many taking place in the shopping and dining district, with other notable changes including the development of a new McDonald’s that will replace the current fast-food restaurant.

On Tuesday, a Disneyland Paris Resort guest shared an updated look at the ongoing work on the new security checkpoint leading into Disney Village. On X (formerly known as Twitter), @DLPReport posted a photo of the newly constructed roof of the checkpoint, which is visible above the construction walls, with the Gaumont cinema in the background.

Later, the same Disney Park guest shared two aerial photos of the security checkpoint construction, which show the progress that’s taking place behind barriers. These images offer a closer look at the project’s scale and progress.

Although the roof and architectural supports have been installed, the construction appears to have a long way to go. Materials and construction equipment are scattered around the site, and the ground remains covered in brown dirt. At this point, new concrete or flooring has not yet been poured.

It’s unclear exactly when the new security checkpoint at Disneyland Paris Resort will be completed. Keep following Disney Fanatic for more updates on this project and other exciting developments happening at Disney parks worldwide!
