Hauntings and Fiery Accidents Reportedly Plague Splash Mountain’s Remains

If you need to summon a Disney World or Disneyland fan (or a Disney Fanatic in general) from within a crowd, yelling something about the ride called Splash Mountain is a surefire way to make them speak up.

Disney fans were extremely divided when it came to the permanent closure of the Magic Kingdom ride that was based on the famously-racist movie Song of the South from 1946.

Splash Mountain Will Splash No More

Some fans were excited about its replacement (a ride called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that will focus on Princess Tiana from Disney’s 2009 Princess and the Frog film), while other fans were so upset that they began hoarding water from the theme park ride.

The Walt Disney World Resort location closed earlier in 2023 despite some fans’ disappointment, and its Disneyland Resort counterpart closed permanently earlier this summer as an iconic Imagineer watched.

Characters like Br’er Rabbit have already begun to disappear. Now, however, it sounds like the Splash Mountain ride in Disneyland is determined to hang onto its existence!

“Splash Mountain Isn’t Going Down Without a Fight”

According to an anonymous Internet user whose husband works for Disney, the team destroying the ride to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is running into all sorts of alarming issues.

”So my husband is working on the splash mountain / tiana ride at Disneyland,” the Disney fan shared.

“Right now it’s mainly demo and let me tell you splash mountain isn’t going down without a fight. ”

“From what he tells me the ride seems to be haunted,” the Disney fan declared. “I’m not much of a believer in such things but it’s funny to hear the stories he tells me.

Some of the aforementioned disturbances apparently include missing tools, fires, an explosion, and physical resistance from inanimate objects that should be moving easily but aren’t.

Fires and Explosions and Missing Tools? Oh My!

According to the spouse of the relevant Disney worker,  They have tools go missing and found randomly in hard to get to areas.”

In addition, “they can be pulling wire from the wall and it feels like someone is pulling back.”

“They even had fires and a small explosion happen,” the Disney fan explained.

Disney superstitions are certainly common; do you think that these stories about incidents involving Splash Mountain are true?
