The Week of Wishes 2025, a magical week filled with unforgettable moments for Make-A-Wish children, saw Disney destinations around the globe coming together to grant wishes and spread joy.
This special week brought joy to wish kids and showcased Disney’s commitment to helping make dreams come true for children battling critical illnesses. From theme parks to television studios, Disney cast a spell of hope, wonder, and transformation that left lasting memories.
A Royal Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort
At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, wish families were invited to attend the Once Upon A Wish Party, a private, fairy tale-inspired event held exclusively for Make-A-Wish families.
Children received royal makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, met beloved Disney characters, and participated in magical activities such as scavenger hunts and exclusive themed experiences.
The day’s festivities brought fantasy to life, offering wish kids a chance to be the heroes of their own stories in the most magical place on Earth.
A Surprise Fit for an Avenger
Over at Marvel Studios, actor Sebastian Stan, best known for his role as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, helped grant a special wish.
The Make-A-Wish child was surprised with a behind-the-scenes experience and a personal moment with the superhero. The encounter was powerful and inspiring, highlighting the emotional connection between fans and the characters they admire.
ESPN Gives Sports Fans a VIP Moment
As part of the 2025 NFL Draft broadcast live on ESPN, wish kids Sam and Tommy saw their football dreams come to life. Sam announced the Denver Broncos’ first-round pick, while Tommy took the spotlight for the Buffalo Bills.
ESPN partnered with the NFL, Make-A-Wish, and both teams to enhance the boys’ experience. They coordinated behind-the-scenes meet-and-greets with ESPN talent, including Ryan Clark, Mina Kimes, Laura Rutledge, Dan Orlovsky, Adam Schefter, and Marcus Spears.
In addition, ESPN re-aired its award-winning My Wish series across ESPNNEWS and ESPN2 throughout the Week of Wishes. The powerful stories showcased past wish recipients whose lives were changed through unforgettable sports experiences and highlighted the lasting impact of the Make-A-Wish partnership.
