It’s no secret that a love for the Golden Globe award-winning Walt Disney Animation Studios movie Encanto has been taking the community of Disney fans by storm ever since it premiered in November, and that love for the Madrigal family from Encanto is still going strong! One surprising fan favorite from the movie, “strong one” Luisa Madrigal, has received a lot of love from Disney fans in particular — and now one Disney fan has combined the popular video game Animal Crossing with Luisa Madrigal and her Encanto song “Surface Pressure”!
The Encanto song “Surface Pressure” is sung by Luisa Madrigal (who was blessed with superhuman strength as her magical ability) to her younger sister Mirabel Madrigal (who doesn’t have any magical powers, unlike the rest of her family, but still has plenty of generational trauma). In the song, Luisa sings about the stress that she’s under and the pressure that she feels to protect the family and bear the crushing weight of everyone else’s burdens. Take a look in the TikTok video below, by TikTok user “@marsgirlcrossing”, to see how accurately the Disney fan portrayed Luisa and Mirabel in the video game Animal Crossing!
@marsgirlcrossing Pressure like drip drip drip that’ll never stop, whoa-ooooh 🎶💪🏽#disneyencanto #encanto #luisa #mirabel #acnh #nintendo #nintendoswitch #gamergirl #disney #surfacepressure @Jessica Darrow
We’re particularly impressed by how this self-proclaimed “gamer girl” has accurately represented Luisa and Mirabel through Animal Crossing avatars. Even their clothing looks just like the outfits that Luisa Madrigal and Mirabel Madrigal wear in the Oscar-nominated movie Encanto!
We also love seeing how the adorable Animal Crossing characters represent their Disney characters. Mirabel’s stunned and confused expressions fit perfectly with her actual behavior during “Surface Pressure”, and fans of the video game will recognize the building actions that Luisa is performing in the game!
“Surface Pressure” has not done as well on the Billboard charts as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has, but it has still been on the top of the music charts ever since the Academy Award-nominated movie premiered — and the unique jazz cover of the song that was released by actress Jessica Darrow, who played Luisa and sang the original song, went viral as well!
