After only two months of operation, Disneyland Resort’s Enchanted Tiki Room attraction is again closing for an indefinite refurbishment.
The attraction reopened on July 1 after a two-month maintenance period that began on April 28. However, after only a short time in operation, Disneyland Park guests noticed some issues, including broken audio-animatronics, incorrectly timed special effects, and a strange hissing sound that became a distraction during the show. Now, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is already back on the Disneyland Resort refurbishment schedule.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland Park is a pioneer of audio-animatronic technology, making it one of the most important attractions in the park’s history. It was Walt Disney’s first attempt at incorporating this groundbreaking technology into the guest experience. Imagineers later created versions of the musical show for Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disneyland. Guests who recently visited Disneyland Park were thrilled to see Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room back in operation, especially with the addition of new effects and an upgraded audio-animatronic of the iconic tree outside. However, issues quickly arose.
According to Disneyland Resort’s daily calendar, the Adventureland attraction will undergo another refurbishment beginning September 7, 2025. The calendar only goes through September 8, 2025, and the attraction is listed as “closed” on that date. This announcement has left many wondering how long the attraction will remain closed. While it could be a brief refurbishment, some guests are concerned it may take several months to fully restore the attraction.
