Disneyland Resort’s iconic Enchanted Tiki Room is facing some technical difficulties, according to a guest’s recent observations after a visit to the beloved attraction. Guest Report: Issues with Animatronics and Effects

The Disneyland guest, who shared their feedback on social media, expressed their concerns over multiple issues with the attraction. “A few things [were] broken,” the guest noted, mentioning that some of the “wall tikis” were stuck in a “state of permanently winking” with their mouths barely moving. This sparked the guest’s concern that the animatronics might require additional repair work.

Beyond the animatronic issues, the guest pointed out several other problems. These included the enchanted fountain being “way out of sync with the bird mobile” and lights on the bird mobile not functioning properly. Additionally, a “loud hissing sound” during the show further detracted from the experience, creating a sense that the attraction wasn’t fully operational.

I love the tiki room and hope that Disney takes some time to do a good refurb,” the guest remarked in their post. I’d hate to see it get neglected.” These sentiments reflect the growing concern among Disney fans that the Enchanted Tiki Room, a classic attraction, might not be receiving the attention it deserves.

A Classic Attraction Showing Signs of Wear

The Enchanted Tiki Room has been a staple of Disneyland Park since its debut in 1963, offering a tropical ambiance and delightful animatronic birds performing catchy tunes. The attraction is known for its immersive atmosphere, with the rotating bird mobile, the singing birds, and the mesmerizing flower-filled fountain creating a magical environment. However, like many long-standing attractions, regular maintenance is necessary to keep it operating at its best.

Disneyland has long been committed to maintaining high-quality experiences for its visitors, but the ongoing issues with the Tiki Room raise questions about the frequency and extent of its refurbishments. Despite a recent lengthy refurb, the current concerns suggest that more work may be needed to restore the attraction to its original splendor.

However, fans of the attraction continue to voice their concerns and hope that Disney will prioritize the necessary fixes to ensure the Tiki Room remains a beloved part of the park experience.

For guests planning to visit the Enchanted Tiki Room in the coming weeks, it may be helpful to check the Disneyland app for any maintenance schedules or updates.
