EPCOT Guests Flock to New Hawaii Area

Everyone’s favorite Hawaiian Disney characters might be on hiatus for the foreseeable future, but the Hawaiian state has still made a grand entrance in the Walt Disney World Resort EPCOT theme park this August!

For the beloved yearly Disney World event known as the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, Walt Disney World Resort has added Hawaii to its World Showcase in the form of a tasty-treat-wielding booth with food and beverages on offer for Disney guests.

Slide to the Right! Slide to the Left!

This Hawaiian EPCOT booth is offering two delicious meals  for EPCOT visitors: a Kalua Pork Slider (which is complemented by Sweet-and-Sour DOLE Pineapple Chutney and spicy mayonnaise) or a SPAM Musubi Nigiri (which comes with sushi rice, Teriyaki-glazed SPAM, spicy mayonnaise, eel sauce, and nor).

For dessert, Passion Fruit Cheesecake (topped with toasted macadamia nuts) is on the menu!

Tropical Cocktails, Anyone?

Hawaii enthusiasts can also enjoy alcohol responsibly at this location in the form of an Aulani Sunrise drink (which is a cocktail that mixes vodka, pineapple juice, and grenadine).

Sparkling pineapple wine and an IPA from the Kona brewing company are also available.

The ‘Good’ Kind of Spam

The inclusion of a tropical DOLE flavor and SPAM (which is a Hawaii signature in many meals) is a nice touch!

Hawaii might not be part of the World Showcase in an official capacity, but hopefully someday Hawaii will be represented in EPCOT in a more permanent fashion than the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.

The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will be in full swing until November 18! Are you visiting the Hawaii booth before then?

Which other Food and Wine Festival booths will you be paying a visit to, if you’re lucky enough to have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation planned?
