Epic Universe has changed the way many guests experience Universal Orlando Resort, but until now, one part of the day has always felt surprisingly quiet.
Once the attractions closed, many visitors simply made their way toward the exit.

Starting this week, that's expected to change.
Universal is officially debuting Universal Celestial Goodnight on July 7, giving Epic Universe its first permanent nighttime spectacular. The new production combines fountains, lighting, music, and fireworks into an evening finale designed to celebrate every world inside the park.
For guests planning a visit, it may completely change how they schedule their day.
Epic Universe Adds a Long-Awaited Experience
Epic Universe opened with enormous expectations and largely delivered.
Guests quickly embraced its immersive environments, thrilling attractions, and incredible attention to detail. Whether exploring the Ministry of Magic, racing through Berk, battling classic monsters, or visiting SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, visitors found plenty to experience throughout the day.

One thing remained noticeably absent, however.
Unlike many major Orlando theme parks, Epic Universe didn't have a signature nighttime spectacular to close out the evening.
Universal Celestial Goodnight finally fills that role.
The show takes place in Celestial Park and includes scenes inspired by each of Epic Universe's themed lands before ending with fireworks above the lagoon.
Built to Impress
Universal has made it clear this isn't a small addition.
According to the company, the production features nearly 600 synchronized lighting fixtures, more than 350 fountains, and approximately seven million LED lights throughout Celestial Park.
Those numbers explain why fans have spent months anticipating the announcement.
Guests noticed signs throughout the park long before Universal made the fireworks official. Concept artwork showed nighttime displays over Celestial Park, while visible infrastructure around the lagoon suggested a larger entertainment offering would eventually arrive.
The official announcement confirmed what many longtime Universal fans had already suspected.
Expect the Park to Stay Busy Later
The debut of Universal Celestial Goodnight will likely keep guests inside Epic Universe much later than before.
Rather than leaving after dinner or their final attraction, many visitors are expected to gather around Celestial Park to watch the new nighttime spectacular.

That means restaurants, snack locations, and shopping areas could remain busier during the final hours of park operation.
Anyone hoping for a prime viewing location should consider arriving early instead of waiting until the last minute.
A New Summer Tradition Begins
Nighttime spectaculars often become some of the most memorable parts of a theme park vacation, and Universal is hoping the same happens here.
The addition gives Epic Universe another signature experience while encouraging guests to enjoy the park after sunset, when Celestial Park already becomes one of the resort's most beautiful areas.
If you're visiting Universal Orlando Resort beginning July 7, consider keeping your evening plans flexible.
Instead of heading back to your hotel after your final ride, stick around a little longer. Epic Universe is finally getting the nighttime finale fans have wanted since opening day.
