With Disney announcing the dates for the next EPCOT International Festival of the Arts this morning, we wanted to share a quick recap of everything we know so far.

First, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will take place January 14-February 21, 2022 primarily around World Showcase but we do expect some events to pop up in other areas of the park, too. As in previous years, the festival will feature outdoor kitchens, artistic photo opps with Disney PhotoPass photographers, scavenger hunts, paint by number experiences, exclusive festival merchandise and more.

The biggest news in terms of the 2022 festival is the return of the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, which marks the first “normal” festival live music to return to the America Gardens Theatre in EPCOT since the park’s reopened after their closure last year. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is a fan-favorite part of the festival with artists performing hit songs from Broadway shows. We do not have the specifics on this year’s performers quite yet, but in the past this series has included artists from Newsies, Tarzan, Mary Poppins, and more.

Outdoor kitchens will return as well. We do not have specifics yet but do expect some artistic twists on classics, with past favorites including menu items like the deconstructed reuben as well as paint palette cookies.

The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine will give Guests a fun food stroll featuring five treats around EPCOT (both sweet and savory.) This experience will be similar to the Holiday Cookie Stroll.

Chalk artists will be back for this festival creating images of Disney characters and masterful illusions on EPCOT’s sidewalks, as well as fun photo opps with famous works of art.

Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt will function similar to past festival scavenger hunts with a map and guide of what Guests can search for around the park and a prize for when they finish.

In addition, Disney artists will visit the festival for meet and greets with Guests and for signings. We do not have a full list of artists yet, but so far we do know that Greg and Nathalie McCullough will be visiting in January.

We are so excited to learn more about this year’s festival as the details continue to come together! We will be back with more updates on this event as we have them.
