Later Hours and No Early Park Admission: Epic Universe Announces Changes

Universal Orlando Resort has revealed new operating hours for the much-anticipated Epic Universe theme park, offering an exciting change just ahead of its grand debut. In response to fan feedback, the park will now extend its operating hours during its opening period. From May 22 through June 1, guests will be able to experience the park from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., an extra hour of fun compared to the previously scheduled 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The decision to extend hours comes after a wave of criticism from fans who expressed disappointment over the park’s earlier closing time. With the new hours, Universal is clearly aiming to give guests more time to explore the groundbreaking attractions and immersive lands set to debut in Epic Universe. This extended window will allow visitors to make the most of their time in the park during what is expected to be a highly crowded and popular opening.

Exciting Extended Hours and Limited Early Park Admission

While the hours have been extended for the opening period, Universal has announced that after June 1, operating hours will vary daily. Most days in June will feature a 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. schedule, but there will be select days when the park will stay open until 10 p.m. This includes June 16, 23, 24, and 30, giving visitors additional opportunities to experience the attractions late into the night. These extended hours underscore Universal’s commitment to providing an enhanced guest experience, especially during the park’s inaugural month.

However, despite the extended hours, Universal confirmed that Early Park Admission (EPA) will not be available on May 22, the official opening day of Epic Universe. Normally, early entry allows select guests, like those staying at Universal Orlando hotels or with special packages, to access certain attractions before the general public. The decision to exclude early entry on the first day of opening indicates Universal’s strategy to control the flow of visitors during what will likely be a very high-traffic event, ensuring a smoother and more orderly experience for all guests.

What to Expect from Epic Universe

The opening of Epic Universe will introduce visitors to a host of thrilling new attractions and immersive lands, based on some of Universal’s most beloved franchises. With unique rides, themed dining experiences, and plenty of interactive opportunities, the park is set to offer something for everyone. The revised operating hours give guests the chance to experience all that the new park has to offer, whether they’re early birds or night owls.

With the countdown to opening day in full swing, excitement continues to build, and the unveiling of this new park promises to take theme park entertainment to a whole new level.
