Festive Sweet & Savory Specials Arrive in Downtown Disney for the Holiday Season

Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort is all ready for the holiday season with uniquely Disney shopping experiences, restaurants, entertainment and more. There is something for everyone at Downtown Disney this winter, and with a full selection of holiday food offerings you’ll find plenty of sweets and treats to try without even using a park ticket.

Here are some of the highlights of Downtown Disney’s holiday foodie scene:

For fans of peppermint, don’t miss the Peppermint Classic Shake topped off with a chocolate mint pattie, whipped cream, crushed peppermint and chocolate drizzle available now at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes. Nearby at California Churro, peppermint fans will also be thrilled to find the White Peppermint Churro, a twist on this classic Disney snack with powdered sugar and peppermint icing.

Salt & Straw is offering both scoops and pints of festive holiday flavors including Peppermint Cocoa, plus Gingerbread Cookie Dough, Almonde Brittle, and The Great Cookie Swap (available soon, beginning November 26, 2021 and running through the holiday season.) And, at Sprinkles Cupcakes, peppermint fans will find Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes alongside other seasonal sweets like Gingerbread and Christmas Cookie.

If you are not quite ready to leave pumpkin flavors behind, Downtown Disney still has you covered! La Brea Bakery & Cafe still has Pumpkin Mousse Tarts and lattes (plus Peppermint Lattes!) and Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen has Pumpkin Glazed Beignets available through December 9, 2021. Also at Ralph Brennan’s, Guests can expect to find Candy Cane Glazed Beignets December 10-January 9 at the pickup window as well as Bananas Foster Glazed Beignets and Snowfall Martinis served inside the restaurant.

Marceline’s Confectionery will be the best stop for Disney-themed treats this holiday season with Mickey Peppermint Marshmallows, Mickey Santa Cupcakes, Snowflake Caramel Apples, and more. And for even more festive themed treats, head over to Kayla’s Cake for Christmas Snowman and Gingerbread Macarons.

If you are looking for a holiday twist on a classic Disney pretzel, visit Wetzel’s Pretzels for Cin-A-Bitz, aka hand-rolled pretzel bites covered in butter then tossed in cinnamon and sugar.

And, for something more savory this holiday season, try the Holiday Pizza from Naples Ristorante e Bar made with fontina, provolone, roasted pumpkin, finocchiona salami, sautéed onions and honey. Or, stop by Tortilla Joe’s for the Trio de Tamales de Dulce. This festive dish is made with red tamal served with a house-made strawberry jam, White Tamal Dulce de Leche served with raisins and cinnamon compote, and the Yellow Pineapple Tamal, topped with a piña colada sauce.
