One of the most noticeable impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Disney parks at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort has been the cancellation or modification of large scale events, even as the rest of the parks and resorts continue to reopen. For high schoolers visiting the Disneyland Resort, one of these cancellations has unfortunately been the popular Grad Nite programming, which had been cancelled for both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Thankfully, for this year’s high school seniors, the annual tradition of Grad Nite is returning to Disneyland with event dates beginning in May 2022. Grad Nite is a unique event allowing graduating seniors to visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure as a group with their schools with a variety of memorable experiences exclusive to this event.
Guests at this year’s Grad Nite will be able to spend time visiting the two California theme parks with their friends and classmates while experiencing new and classic Disney attractions, trying out sweets and treats, and taking fun photo ops around the parks as they celebrate the completion of their high school careers.
Per disneycampus.com, dates for the 2022 Disneyland Resort Grad Night include:
May 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 31
June 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 17
Registration for the event is now open and multiple ticket types are available. For $89 per person, graduates can experience an evening event just for them with the Disneyland Grad Nite Private Party Experience at Disney California Adventure Park. In the next tier up for $119 per person, Guests can enjoy the private party as well as a full day at Disney’s California Adventure. And, for $179 per person, grads can opt for a Park Hopper ticket, giving them access to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure prior to the start of the Disneyland Grad Nite Private Party Experience at 9:00 PM.
As with any special event or theme park admission, especially during this time while the industry is still in the process of reopening, all of the above is subject to reservation requirements and availability. Additionally all Guests at Grad Nite, as well as day Guests to the Disneyland Resort, must follow health and safety rules and guidance from Disney Cast Members during their visit.
