Fans are about done with the current state of the Disney Parks, particularly with its ideation, and are ready for the parks to improve, with some even saying they “desperately need” some solid direction.
Disney has not had an easy time pleasing its fans and guests lately. For months, even years now, many have been complaining that the quality of the Disney experience has steadily decreased. From issues like overcrowded parks and constantly breaking down attractions to the prices of theme park tickets shooting up, many guests are utterly bemused with the Walt Disney Company.

In fact, guests are so frustrated with the Mouse House that they often take to social media to commiserate with other fans and find like-minded individuals with whom they can discuss how Disney might be improved.
In the most recent iteration of this conversation, X user Buzz Bradley asked, “Serious question. What does Disney World or Disneyland NEED?”
While many might think to answer this question by name-dropping their most anticipated rides or attractions, or experiences they would like to see at the parks, one fan took a different route, calling out Disney’s current parks strategy.
X user Eddie Sotto commented that what Disney World or Disneyland needed was “vision.”
Couldn't agree more. The throw everything at the wall and see what sticks approach hasn't been working the past 10-15 years.
The parks desperately need a solid direction with continuity and someone who has the vision to see it. Maybe you should put in an application. 👍🏻— Buzz Bradley 🌐 (@DisneyOnParade) March 22, 2024
OP Buzz Bradley responded to this comment, elaborating further on it, writing, “Couldn’t agree more. The throw everything at the wall and see what sticks approach hasn’t been working the past 10-15 years. The parks desperately need a solid direction with continuity and someone who has the vision to see it. Maybe you should put in an application.”
This comment began a discussion, where another fan added some nuance to the conversation. They wrote, “I would say they aren’t just throwing things against the wall. It’s a movement to cram as much modern IP into the parks as possible. Anyone with 1/2 a brain understands that the Disney parks were special because it had a mix of IP specific to the park and IP from films.”
At present, it appears that Disney CEO Bob Iger and the company itself is committed to continuing to bring new attractions and lands based on newer IPs to any Disney theme park. However, whether these rides and attractions will hit the same emotional need that fans were referencing remains to be seen.
Here’s hoping Disney works more towards recreating that magic that made it famous in the very first place.
