One of the coolest things about visiting Walt Disney World Resort is all the ways to get where you need to go. Sure, you can drive your car or take the bus from hotel to hotel, Park to Park, or hotel to Park. But there are also a few unique ways to travel around the massive Resort. Guests can take the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation to Polynesian Village, the Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian, and the Magic Kingdom. There’s also the Skyliner at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and finally, the boats.
While the most well-known boat transportation takes place between EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the BoardWalk area, and surrounding hotels. However, there are other boats that also take Guests between two popular sister hotels — Disney’s Port Orleans: French Quarter and Port Orleans: Riverside. The hotels are only about a 15-minute walk from each other, but why walk when you can take a Disney boat?
One man recently tried to board the boat between the two hotels, but he was told the boat was full and could not fit him and his child, who was in a stroller. Instead of being upset about it, or standing around to wait for the next boat to arrive, the unknown Guest decided to have a bit of fun with it.
In a video that is making the rounds on social media, the man decided to race the boat on the trail between the French Quarter and Riverside. The Guests –and possibly the boat Captain — noticed him running and began to cheer him on. Take a look at the fun time had by everyone (even if there was running involved)!

Commenters were impressed at the man and his stamina, especially after a long day walking around the theme parks. Some joked that it was a pop-up RunDisney event, and others begged to know what happened. Thankfully, the creator of the video shared that, not only did the man make it to his destination, but he also beat the boat!
Congrats on your win, and having more energy than most of us!
