Magic Kingdom’s “it’s a small world” attraction is known as “The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed,” but not when something like this happens…
Disney is all about safety, and Disney cast members work very hard to make sure each guest is safe and happy during their magical vacation. One of the places safety is most important is when on one of Disney’s many rides and attractions.
Many guests can recite, “Please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the ride vehicle at all times,” by heart. Even on rides that seem very tame, it is always important to follow the rules and stay in the vehicle because anything could happen, and Disney doesn’t want anyone to get hurt.
Sadly, some guests feel that Disney’s rules do not apply to them. If they don’t want to be on a ride anymore, they don’t hesitate to get out of the ride vehicle. That not only puts them in potential danger but also ruins the ride for everyone else. Disney has to stop the ride, and all other guests are forced to wait while cast members address the situation.
Recently, guests riding “it’s a small world” in Magic Kingdom Park were shocked as they watched a woman and two children get out of the boat and wade through the water.

Many were shocked at the blatant entitlement and how an adult could encourage children to act that way. The children were climbing on the ride before they jumped into the water.
One person asked if maybe one of the children was special needs and needed to use the bathroom, but another person who was there commented that none of the children were special needs, just entitled.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that guests have jumped out of ride vehicles while at a Disney park. Recently, a man was filmed climbing out of a boat on Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland Park and walking to another boat.
He did this while holding a baby in his arms and ignoring a cast member who was speaking to him. Guests have also walked on the tracks on Big Thunder Mountain while trains were still running.
It is important to note that following Disney’s rules of conduct are non-negotiable.
Unless there is an extreme medical emergency, remain in the ride vehicle at all times. Should the ride need to be evacuated, Disney cast members will come and escort guests. Guests who choose to ignore cast members and put themselves at risk may be asked to leave the park.
