Practically every Disney fan, Marvel fan, or Chris Pratt fan is talking about the new EPCOT roller coaster Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Almost all of the reviews for this new thrill ride in the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion within EPCOT’s World Showcase have been overwhelmingly positive — but apparently, some Disney World Guests are finding the Disney coaster trip to Xandar to be a bit too intense in the Disney Park!
EPCOT Guests and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind passengers have apparently been experiencing nausea and motion sickness after leaving the Disney Park ride, so much so that Cast Members in the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion have started giving bags to Guests as they leave in case any of them need to vomit after trying the Disney coaster.

One Disney Guest shared on Twitter that he was in the first row on the ride and found it to be nauseating. The Guest said in the Tweet shown above that there were “a very large amount of people taking barf bags at the exit”.
Another Twitter user recommended keeping “your head in the general direction the car is facing” to avoid motion sickness, and advised against eating lots of food before the Disney Park ride.
You get in trouble if you start looking around when the cars are going sideways. If you keep your head in the general direction the car is facing you should be fine. We had no issues and I really hope they don't change the ride. Maybe don't eat a large meal before going on. 🙂

It is likely that the reverse motion in the ride and the 360-degree rotations are part of the problem. Regardless, most Disney Guests still seem to be coming away from this new addition to Walt Disney World Resort with a very positive experience!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a new roller coaster from Walt Disney Imagineering that allows riders to accompany the Guardians of the Galaxy (including Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, and Rocket the Racoon) on an adventure with Nova Corps. Glenn Close reprised her role as Nova Prime for the ride (and the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 returned as well); one Disney Imagineer also expressed a lot of excitement about the fast-paced attraction — not to mention the detailed Wonders of Xandar Pavilion that houses the ride.
Have you tried this roller coaster yet in EPCOT? Did you feel sick after the ride — and if you did, was it worth it?
