Who doesn’t love a sweet treat when visiting the happiest place on earth? There is nothing like indulging in delicious desserts while dining, enjoying a parade, or just relaxing in the park. If you plan to head over to the Magic Kingdom, here are ten of the most decadent treats you are not going to want to miss!
10. Nutella Waffle
Ever wonder what heaven is like? Just think of a fluffy waffle cooked to golden brown perfection, a generous amount of Nutella, and topped off with fresh berries and whipped cream. Sounds heavenly, right? The nutella waffle sandwich is located at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom and it is sure to put the smile on your face. This is large enough to share, or you can spoil yourself and enjoy every last bit of it alone!
9. Funnel Cake
Who doesn’t love fried dough topped off with loads of powdered sugar? There is something so delicious about eating a funnel cake at Disney World. You can enjoy Disney funnel cakes not only with powdered sugar, but with a heaping scoop of ice cream and even chocolate drizzle too! Just like the Nutella Waffle, funnel cakes are located at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square.
8. Pineapple Dole Whip
Say Aloha as you are transported to the Hawaiian Islands with your first bite of a delicious Dole Whip. Dole Whips are one of the most popular treats at the Magic Kingdom because it isn’t like your typical dessert. A Dole Whip consists of creamy vanilla frozen yogurt that sits on a nice sized cup of Dole’s pineapple juice. You can also have it in a different way, where the yogurt and juice are swirled together in a frozen consistency. This is a great treat to enjoy in the hot Florida sunshine. You can find Dole Whips in Adventureland!
7. Pistachio Crème Brûlée
Talk about a cool twist on dessert, Tony’s Town Square restaurant offers a pistachio crème brulee that is out of this world. This is a popular treat here and if you love crème brulee or pistachios, you will surely love indulging in this! You’re not going to want to miss this here because its not a very popular dessert that you can have anywhere else.
6. Cinnamon Roll
Warm cinnamon rolls are at the top of my dessert list, and at Gaston’s Tavern in the new Fantasyland you’ll find one of the most giant cinnamon rolls you’ve ever encountered. These cinnamon rolls are great for sharing, or if you’re really in the mood for it, gobble it up alone! They are loaded with sweet cinnamon and a sugary glaze that is to die for!
5. Clock Strikes Twelve
Cinderella’s Royal Table is the most notorious restaurant to be able to meet a plethora of Disney princesses while you dine in Cinderella’s castle. One of the most decadent desserts is offered here. The clock strikes twelve dessert is a white chocolate mousse dome covered in a dark chocolate ganache. Not to mention, it is beautifully put together and looks like it’s worth a million dollars. This is truly decadence at its finest!
4. The Grey Stuff
Be Our Guest is one of the most popular restaurants in Fantasyland since it opened about 3 years ago. Here, you will find one of the most talked about desserts, the grey stuff. You can enjoy the famous grey stuff on a cupcake or on a chocolate shell. This cookie cream is decadent and absolutely delicious (if you don’t believe me, ask the dishes).
3. Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar
A classic go-to sweet treat has to be Mickey’s Premium ice cream bar. Over 3.3 million of these bars are sold yearly! That’s a whole lot of ice cream! The smooth vanilla ice cream is covered with a thick chocolate candy coating. Perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day!
Churros are a quick and easy treat that can be eaten as a snack or an after lunch/dinner treat. Disney’s churros are sold in various locations around the Magic Kingdom and are perfect for on-the-go kind of treats. These long sticks of fried dough are tossed heavily in cinnamon sugar and are absolutely delicious!
1. Wishes Dessert Party
Nothing says decadence like a dessert party. The Wishes Dessert Party is hosted at Cinderella’s castle in the Magic Kingdom and is a hard ticket experience. Guests that purchase a ticket to this popular experience will enjoy a plethora of themed desserts all night long paired with cheeses, fruit, various beverages, and of course, a huge firework display. You will have a great viewing section for the firework show without having to hold your spot for a long time. This is a great way to enjoy the decadence of the desserts of Magic Kingdom!
