Disney’s Hollywood Studios is about to feel very different for guests using Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
Starting May 26, Disney is officially adding two returning experiences back into the park’s Lightning Lane system, and the timing could create a serious rush for reservations throughout the summer season. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! are both reopening after updates, immediately rejoining the Multi Pass lineup at Hollywood Studios.

That may sound like good news at first, especially since guests are finally getting more attractions back after months of closures and refurbishments. But in reality, this change could make Lightning Lane reservations even harder to grab inside one of Disney World’s most crowded parks.
Hollywood Studios already has one of the toughest Lightning Lane setups at Walt Disney World. Unlike Magic Kingdom, the park has fewer attractions overall, which means large crowds tend to pile into the same rides all day long. Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania!, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run already generate huge demand from park open until close.
Now Disney is adding another major headliner back into the mix.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster returning as a Muppets-themed attraction could instantly become one of the hottest Lightning Lane reservations at Disney World this summer. Fans have been waiting months to see how Disney transformed the coaster, and many guests will likely prioritize it over other Tier 1 selections.
That creates an interesting situation for vacationers.

Some guests may suddenly have a slightly easier time getting Slinky Dog Dash reservations if demand shifts heavily toward the Muppets coaster instead. Others may find themselves scrambling to book anything at all once reservation windows open.
The Disney Jr. addition also matters more than people may realize.
Hollywood Studios has spent years trying to balance thrill rides with family entertainment. The return of Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! gives younger families another Lightning Lane option, especially during a summer season that will likely bring huge numbers of small children into the park.
At the same time, Disney’s pricing is climbing again alongside the expanded lineup.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Hollywood Studios is now sitting near record highs heading into May 26. That usually signals Disney expects heavy crowds and strong demand for reservations.

Between summer vacations, school breaks, new entertainment offerings, and the reopening of major attractions, Hollywood Studios could become one of the busiest parks at Walt Disney World over the next few months.
And for guests who do not plan ahead, Lightning Lane availability may disappear very quickly once the park returns to a full lineup again.
