When visiting Disneyland Resort, it seems like there is always something special going on to make your trip extremely memorable. During the fall, it’s Halloween Time, which goes right into the Holidays, which last through the new year. March through April, Guests can enjoy the Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure Park. Then, in May, ‘The Force’ descends over The Happiest Place on Earth, with Star Wars being celebrated throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District.
Typically, Disneyland will celebrate Star Wars season with limited-time food and merchandise. And this year, they will be bringing back one of the most popular aspects of the celebration — Hyperspace Mountain. Disney Imagineers will take Space Mountain — located in Tomorrowland — and give it a complete Star Wars overlay. The music will change, the effects will change — watch out for the blasters! Guests will even be able to get up close and personal with X-Wings and TIE Fighters.
According to the Disneyland Resort website, Space Mountain will become Hyperspace Mountain beginning May 1. The attraction will remain Hyperspace Mountain through June 4 and will return to Space Mountain on June 5.
Space Mountain will be temporarily transformed into Hyperspace Mountain—a limited-time experience beginning May 1, 2023. Space Mountain is expected to reopen June 5, 2023.
In addition to all the great Star Wars offerings that will be available during the day for all theme park Guests, there will also be a special Disneyland After Dark event happening on select nights. Star Wars Nite will allow Guests to celebrate the fandom with special events like dance parties, shorter lines on most attractions, themed food and merchandise, an event keepsake, and even early entry into the Park, so you don’t need a reservation!
This year’s Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite is sold out, but Guests can still be immersed in the Star Wars universe by visiting Galaxy’s Edge, located in Disneyland Park. There, they can meet characters like The Mandalorian and Grogu, Chewbacca, Rey, and more! Guests can also pilot the Millennium Falcon on Smuggler’s Run and escape a Star Destroyer on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
As part of Star Wars Month, there will also be even more limited-time food and merchandise offerings! Disney Fanatic will share more details on that when we learn more!
