Even “The Happiest Place on Earth” can sometimes see some awful behavior from park visitors, as one guest reported recently.
Going to either the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort is a dream come true for so many around the world. From the incredible rides and attractions like Haunted Mansion to the wonderful opportunities to interact with your favorite Disney characters, there’s a lot to love about being at a Disney theme park.
However, sometimes, certain experiences can ruin this for us.
Woman Recounts Bad Behavior from Fellow Guests
Recently, a woman took to social media platform Reddit to share how another guest on the Pirates ride at Disneyland ruined the experience for her with bad behavior.
The woman explained, “Some woman and her party behind us were yelling the entire ride she even answered a phone call and talked loudly through half the ride. I politely asked her if she could be quieter if she needs to talk because i cant hear any of the ride audio. She called me a bitch and then proceeded to talk about me and my fiance in spanish to her party thinking neither of us could catch anything.”
The woman was understandably upset about the situation, continuing that the guests made comments about her physical appearance, ” saying stuff about me being fat and annoying and my white boyfriend looking like a bitch and it was all bad.”
She also noted this wasn’t the first time this happened, and previously, guests commented on her physical appearance in another language when she used her DAS Pass, and “they were angry i didn’t have to wait.”
Fellow guests in the comments were quite sympathetic to the OP. One wrote, “Some people are inconsiderate, self-centred jerks. There’s no escaping it, even in Disneyland.”
Another Disney fan agreed, “We were there a few days ago and had to listen to a streamer while on Pirates the entire time. Literally zero consideration or self awareness, it’s insane.”
It’s important to note that this is one guest’s experience at Disneyland and no two guest experiences are alike. However, it’s certainly frustrating to hear about people who choose to ignore the bounds of social conduct while at a place as magical as a Disney theme park.
