Still reveling in his long-sought defamation victory over his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp took time to thank the fans who believed and supported him since his battle began in 2018.

After publishing a letter across social media immediately following his victory in Fairfax, Virginia, the former Pirates of the Caribbean star shared a tribute video on his social media dedicated to everyone who actively supported him.

He shared the video with the following message:

To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD

Although the Jury found defamation on both sides from Amber Heard and Depp’s former lawyer, the jurors found all three of Heard’s statements as defamation created with “actual malice,” awarding Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $3.35 million in punitive damages. Meanwhile, only one of the statements made by Depp’s lawyer while representing Depp was found to be defamation, and Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and $0 in punitive damages.

Since the verdict was read, fans have been demanding Disney and Warner Bros. apologize to Depp for supposedly dropping him merely based on Heard’s allegations. We at Disney Fanatic recently reported that a former Disney Executive has come out, claiming that there is a chance that Walt Disney Pictures would want to reinstate Depp in the Pirates franchise as Captain Jack Sparrow. However, no official word on the matter has been made.
