JoJo Siwa Experienced First Love and Heartbreak at Walt Disney World

Disney World sees a wide range of the human experience. Everything from births to engagements to deaths. And sometimes even engagements that weren’t. Hundreds of people get married every year at Walt Disney World, and even more relationships are also started there.

Walt Disney World is truly the happiest place on Earth, but there can also be heartbreak and growth while enjoying the Magic Kingdom.

Despite being only 19, singer JoJo Siwa has experienced a range of emotions throughout her short life, all of which happened at Walt Disney World. Siwa recently told People Magazine that she fell in love for the first time, realized she was gay, and experienced heartbreak for the first time, all while vacationing at Walt Disney World.

Siwa said that while on vacation with a friend at Walt Disney World, she first realized she was gay. She came out to her fans in January 2021 and introduced them to her new girlfriend, Kylie Prew.

Siwa told People:

I was here for 14 days with a girl that was my really good friend and I realized that, ‘Oh, I like her.’ And having all those feelings while just being in the most magical place in the world and the happiest place on Earth was so cool. We’re not together anymore, but we did have some really fun, happy memories here.

Last summer, Siwa also experienced the devastation of breaking up for the first time at Walt Disney World. Despite the sadness of the breakup, Siwa says that her memories of the Parks still make her “so happy.”

And Walt Disney World should make Siwa feel great. Last year, she was invited by Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind before it opened to the public. It was around this time that Siwa broke up with TikTok creator Avery Cyrus, so a trip to Disney Parks for a new ride was just what she needed.

And just last week, Siwa got another special invitation from Vahle. The Dance Moms alum and Vahle rode Tron Lightcycle/Run before it opened to the public. Siwa even got a unique Tron-themed jacket for the occasion. Tron’s Grand Opening is on April 4 at the Magic Kingdom, but Tron’s soft opening began today for Guests to experience the ride. 

 

With so much of her life tied into her experiences at Walt Disney World, Siwa will undoubtedly be back to the Most Magical Place on Earth for more big events. For Siwa, Disney Parks are filled with Magic and memories like the rest of us.
