Walt Disney World Resort is pulling out all the stops for America's 250th birthday, and this year's July 4 celebrations include a military flyover at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT.
The U.S. Air Force Reserve Is Coming to Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort has confirmed that the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 920th Rescue Wing will conduct a flyover of both Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT on July 4, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. The aircraft will depart from Patrick Space Force Base in Florida before passing over both theme parks.
Military flyovers have graced Walt Disney World Resort on several occasions over the years. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Navy Blue Angels have both made appearances at the Central Florida Disney parks, with six of the Thunderbirds' F-16 Fighting Falcons most recently flying over EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park on October 30, 2023, to kick off National Veterans and Military Families Month.
On July 4, 2023, a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 91st Air Refueling Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base and four F-35 Lightning II aircraft from the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base flew over Magic Kingdom Park to mark 100 years of aerial refueling.
Magic Kingdom's July 4 Lineup

Magic Kingdom Park is bringing its most patriotic programming to the holiday weekend. On July 3, 4, and 5, the park will present “Disney's Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” a 360-degree nighttime spectacular over Cinderella Castle.
The iconic Flag Retreat ceremonies, the Electrical Water Pageant, and themed performances by the Dapper Dans and Main Street Philharmonic round out the festivities, alongside the red, white, and blue decorations already lining Main Street, U.S.A.
EPCOT's Independence Day Celebrations

EPCOT is marking the semiquincentennial with an equally full slate. The Soarin' Across America overlay — a brand-new film featuring sweeping natural wonders and cityscapes from across the country, a new musical arrangement by original composer Bruce Broughton, and new scents — is already running on the beloved flight simulator attraction in The Land Pavilion.
On July 3, 4, and 5, the park will add a special “Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks grand finale following the Luminous The Symphony of Us nighttime spectacular. Spaceship Earth will be illuminated with patriotic lighting on those same evenings, and Voices of Liberty will offer additional performances in the American Adventure World Showcase Pavilion.

The Portraits of Courage exhibit featuring veterans' portraits painted by former President George W. Bush has been extended through the Fourth of July weekend and remains on display in the American Adventure Pavilion.
Disney Springs Joins the Celebration
Disney Springs will host festive decorations and live performances from the United States Air Force Band of the West on July 3 and 4, giving guests another patriotic option outside the theme parks.

Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs will not offer special Fourth of July fireworks. Guests hoping to see holiday fireworks should plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT — and should plan to arrive early, as both parks are expected to hit capacity quickly on July 4. Current park hours are available on the Walt Disney World Resort website and the My Disney Experience app.
