Directed by Gareth Edwards, best known for Godzilla (2014) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Jurassic World Rebirth introduces a new cast and a brand-new storyline. While previous Jurassic World films starred Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, this latest installment shifts focus to an entirely fresh ensemble.

Scarlett Johansson leads the film as Zora Bennett, a covert ops expert tasked with a high-stakes mission involving three colossal dinosaurs. Alongside her are Jonathan Bailey as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, and Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid. The movie also features Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Ed Skrein, among many others.

Despite the return of screenwriter David Koepp—who penned both Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)—Jurassic World Rebirth does not bring back any of the franchise’s familiar faces. Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Chris Pratt, and Bryce Dallas Howard are all absent from the cast list.

With the official trailer now out, anticipation for Jurassic World Rebirth is only set to grow in the months leading up to its worldwide release on July 2, 2025. Whether the film will pave the way for a new era of Jurassic storytelling remains to be seen, but Universal Pictures has officially begun the countdown.
