The countdown to Jurassic World Rebirth has begun, and excitement is building for what’s set to be one of the franchise’s biggest installments yet. Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Jurassic Park veteran David Koepp, the movie aims to recapture the awe of the 1993 original while offering an all-new adventure filled with suspense and surprises.
Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert on a dangerous mission to recover critical genetic material from three of the largest dinosaurs known to science. But the mission takes an unexpected turn when her team encounters a family stranded on a mysterious island. From there, a “shocking” discovery changes everything.

Universal Pictures has kept the film’s dinosaurs under wraps, revealing nothing more than an official synopsis and screenshots of the film’s new cast in jungle settings. Director Gareth Edwards previously told Empire Magazine that the film will feature dinosaurs that it would be a “crime against cinema not to include,” but nothing more.
However, now, a recent Brazilian toy fair and merchandise reveals have potentially shed some light on the dinosaurs central to the film.
Returning species like the iconic T-Rex and Spinosaurus appear in the catalogue listing, while colossal creatures such as the Mosasaurus and Titanosaurus–likely two of the three gigantic dinosaurs from the film’s synopsis–are also mentioned. Adding an air of mystery is a cryptic “villain” dinosaur. Though no official details have been confirmed, it could be the rumored “mutant dinosaur”.

Jurassic World Rebirth arrives in theaters on July 2, 2025.
