As the news broke that the normal huggable Character Meet ‘n Greets will finally return to Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort, it appears that some more details about the experience’s special return have come to light.
Inside sources tell us that Disney CEO Bob Chapek and other Disney Company executives will descend on the Theme Parks as character performers for the first day. It is their hope that by interacting with Guests on such an intimate level, they will be able to reconnect with their fan base and get a better sense of what the people want.
It is unclear, though, how many of the executives will be “Face” characters–the Princes, Princesses, Peter Pan, Alice–or “Fur” characters–Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, etc. But, our sources tell us that some were pretty adamant about which characters they wanted to bring to life.
Bob Chapek will most likely be Goofy in Disneyland Park. Josh D’Amaro apparently voiced his desire to be one of the Disney Princes–either Charming or Aladdin–in the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s CFO Christine McCarthy will most likely be spotted portraying Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, and Jeff Vahle will be Tigger aboard the Disney Dream.
Executives also reportedly mentioned that studio makeup artists will be called in to disguise former CEO Bob Iger as Captain Jack Sparrow. Rather than conducting a normal meet ‘n greet, though, Iger will conduct a spontaneous character sighting. Guests will have to try and spot him as he moves about Disneyland Park.

At this point, only time will tell just how the first day of normal Character Meet ‘n Greets will go at The Most Magical Place On Earth and The Happiest Place On Earth.
But it should be noted at this point that all of us here at Disney Fanatic would like to wish our readers APRIL FOOLS!
Disney Character Meet ‘n Greets will return to Disney Parks on April 18, 2022. However, Guests do not need to worry about potentially running into any cosplaying Disney executives.
We hope this joke creates the first of many laughs on this day of pranks and jest.
