The closure of the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom Park has sparked widespread disappointment among Disney fans, but a small group has taken their frustration to an alarming extreme. As the iconic attractions temporarily close, many guests have expressed their sadness, but some have crossed the line by sending threatening emails to Disney Imagineers, customer service agents, and executives.

Could Guests be Facing Felony Charges?
While the closure has left some park-goers heartbroken, with the attractions holding sentimental value for many, the response from a minority of fans has raised serious concerns. One Reddit user posted a public service announcement (PSA), cautioning others about the escalating situation and addressing the legal implications of such actions.
“PSA about TSI and the ROAβs closure NSFM: I know a lot of emotions are high tonight since itβs the closure of the river and Tom Sawyer Island. While people are entitled to their opinions and feelings, it has come to my attention that some people in the Disney community have been sending very threatening emails to imagineers, customer service members, and Disney execs. Please note that email harassment is a crime and a felony offense,” the post read.
The user's warning further explained that email harassment could lead to either a misdemeanor or felony charge, depending on the severity and content of the threats, as well as any prior criminal history. They advised guests to express their frustration in ways that do not jeopardize the safety of others or potentially result in serious legal consequences.

Disrespectful Discourse
The situation has drawn attention across the Disney community, highlighting the importance of respectful discourse, even when emotions are running high. While the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island closure is disappointing for many, these extreme reactions have led to calls for fans to express their feelings constructively rather than resorting to hostile actions.
Disney has yet to publicly address the situation or the ongoing threats, but the company has always encouraged its guests to maintain respect in their interactions with cast members and staff. The importance of adhering to the law is emphasized as harassment, in any form, will not be tolerated and can result in significant consequences.

As the parks evolve and new attractions and closures are announced, Disney fans are urged to embrace change while keeping their passion for the magic in check. The hope is that this will serve as a reminder of the importance of respectful communication, even in the face of disappointment. The Disney communityβs ability to maintain respect while navigating these changes will help preserve the culture of inclusivity and joy that has made the parks a beloved destination for so many.
For now, fans are encouraged to keep their conversations civil and remember that constructive feedback is always more powerful than harmful actions. As Disney continues to evolve, so too should the way fans approach the conversation, ensuring that the magic continues for all involved.

In simple words, Disney is telling fans to shut the hell up, if you like the changes, they say tough cookies. SAD.
Eliminating the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island is to remove Walt Disneyβs Iconic creations. Why not remove the castle while you are removing the iconic structures.
The things that keep me coming back is streadily shrinking Waltβs rolling in his grave
If fans care about Walt Disney, they should remember that Walt said that Disneyland will never be finished and how it would continually evolve. Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion both weren’t operating when Walt died. The same is true with many, many more. Take a look at a fun map from 1968 and take a glance at Frontierland. It was a pretty sad situation.
Have faith! DISNEY will get this right.
