New Video of Violent Disney Fight Surfaces on Social Media

A few years ago (2019), a video went viral over a Disney fight that happened at Disneyland Park in Anaheim.

The Original Viral Fight

Taking place in Mickey’s Toontown, the fight stemmed from a woman spitting on a man’s face. In retaliation, he punched her in the face.

Then, another male guest stepped into the brawl, and the two men engaged in a fistfight while other Disney guests watched with disbelief. Then, a second woman got punched as she tried to break up the fight.

The situation further escalated when one of the men attempted to rip out the first woman’s hair, and a guest in a scooter drove into the guests.

A nearby Disney cast member tried to calm the guests down, but eventually, Disney security arrived to take the matter over. Disneyland Resort promptly removed the violent guests (who were all in the same family).

According to the authorities, the ejected guests not only threatened Disneyland cast members, but even assaulted a cast member with their vehicle as they made their way off the property.

Criminal Charges

Anaheim police later confronted the family involved. At first, the individuals denied it happened and refused to cooperate with authorities. However, once the video surfaced online, local police pursued a criminal case against three of the four individuals involved.

In 2020 (the year following the incident), the individual who threw the first punch (identified as Avery Robinson) pled guilty to one felony count and several misdemeanors. As a result of the violent brawl, he was sentenced to six months.

Andrea Nicole Robinson and her husband, Daman Petrie, were also charged. Robinson faced four misdemeanor counts of battery and one count of assault. Petrie, however, was charged with one count of battery.

New Video

This week, @robsmagicaljourney on TikTok shared what appears to be new footage from the altercation:

The new video shows the immediate event after Disney cast members have gotten involved.

The footage shows that Disneyland security have already arrived, with Avery Robinson sitting on the ground. We can presume this video was taken after the guest riding an EVC collided with the group. Robinson gestures to his leg before abruptly standing, fired up once again.

Steven

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
