Guests visiting Disney California Adventure can join in the traditions of Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures as they commemorate Lunar New Year during the first annual event since 2020. The festival features a variety of activities around the park including festival decor and live performances, event-specific merchandise, limited-time food offerings, and more.

Since 2022 marks the Year of the Tiger, Lunar New Year Festival will have a focus on Tigger joining in the fun alongside favorite characters like Mulan, Mushu, Mickey, Minnie, the Three Little Pigs, and more, all dressed up for the occasion.

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, which was a favorite among Guests at past Lunar New Year celebrations at the park will return in 2022 for a festive celebration hosted by Mulan and Mushu. The two characters will be joined by parade performers who will participate in the procession to honor family, friendship, and best wishes for the new year. And, live music will return to the Lunar New Year celebration with entertainers performing on the Paradise Garden Bandstand.

Guests will be able to find seasonal menu items for the event at four Lunar New Year marketplaces all showcasing different dishes from Asian cuisine. The Sip and Savor Pass will return as well, offering Guests an easy and convenient way to try everything at the Lunar New Year marketplaces.
