Thomas Smith, the Editorial Content Director for the Disney Parks, said the following: “We know many of you at home can’t join us in-person for New Year’s Eve this year, but we didn’t want that to stand in the way of you ringing in the new year with some Disney magic. So we’re bringing our festive countdown fireworks straight to everyone with a LIVE broadcast of the New Year’s Eve “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks”!
This live stream will, in typical Disney style, be more elaborate than a standard live stream. Multiple angles and viewpoints will be shown, giving you even more views of the fireworks than a Guest on Main Street U.S.A. near the Cinderella Castle will have as you watch “the sky sparkle above Cinderella Castle to music from favorite Disney films and other fun tunes from popular attractions”.
The blog post emphasized that Disney has “continued to carefully manage…theme park attendance through the Disney Park Pass Reservation system, and that practice continues for the New Year’s Eve holiday. Since so many cannot be here for the display, we hope people worldwide will join us virtually to count down to the start of 2022 with a delightful dose of Disney magic for the entire family. Be sure to check the front of the Disney Parks Blog for the live stream”!
Are you going to watch this live-streamed Disney Fantasy in the Sky fireworks show, and is this news going to help you have a happy New Year even if you’re not going to be a Guest at a Disney Resort during the New Year’s celebration? Have you gotten to pay Disney World Resort a visit during any other celebrations this year instead, like Christmas Day or the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival in the World Showcase?
