NO Easter Sunday Church at Disney World This Year: Here are Some Nearby Options

April 17 is Easter Sunday, and along with another day of magic in the Parks, Guests might still be looking for a way to properly celebrate The Resurrection.

Unfortunately, The Walt Disney World Resort will NOT be hosting religious services for Easter on-property this year. Known for repurposing a ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for Easter and Christmas, Disney World’s Catholic Mass and Church Service offerings saved families the logistical issue of having to get off and back on the property. This reporter got confirmation of this news from a Walt Disney World Cast Member who said that it was due to lingering COVID-19-related policies, claiming that hotel Guests still are not supposed to visit another Disney Resort Hotel without a reservation. Something like an Easter Sunday Church Service would undoubtedly draw Guests from elsewhere on and off Disney World property looking to get their Disney Day started on the right foot.

But the surrounding area also offers a plethora of beautiful worship options just a short drive away. So, this reporter took it upon himself to create a list of Churchgoing options just in case.

Easter Sunday Catholic Mass near Disney Property

If you and your family are looking for a proper Easter Mass in a Church off-property, this writer recommends visiting the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe. This gorgeous church sits just off I-4 next to the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets and offers Easter Mass at 6 am (Sunrise Mass), 8 am, 10 am, and 12 pm. Visit their website for more information.
