If you’ve entered Disney’s Hollywood Studios anytime in the last couple of years, you probably passed it without thinking much—just a walled-off section near the front of the park. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it definitely didn’t add to the magic. That odd eyesore? It was part of Keystone Clothiers, a well-loved store that had been quietly broken for far too long.
Back in 2022, a piece of the building’s façade unexpectedly collapsed. Disney handled the immediate safety concerns, but the damaged spot lingered. And lingered. For over two years, the corner of the shop sat patched up and ignored, becoming one of the most curious visual oddities at the park entrance.
But now, after what feels like an eternity, Disney has finally brought Keystone Clothiers back to its original, polished form—and guests are already noticing the difference.
A Return to Classic Hollywood Boulevard Style
The repair isn’t just functional—it’s beautiful. The signature art deco look that defines Keystone Clothiers has been fully restored, from the golden window accents to the crisp marble base around the columns. Even the lighting fixtures, which had long been missing or dulled, have been brought back to their sleek, metallic glow.
Better yet, the main entrance to the shop is now open again. For the past couple of years, guests had to find side doors if they wanted to browse inside, which felt clunky and out of place. Now, the front doors are welcoming shoppers again, just as they did before the collapse.
It’s a small update in the grand scheme of Walt Disney World, but for Hollywood Studios specifically, it’s a meaningful one. First impressions matter, and this corner of the park sets the tone for the rest of your visit. Having it fully restored gives Hollywood Boulevard the finished look it’s been missing.
A Lot More Is Changing Inside the Park
This fix also comes at a time when the entire park is beginning to shift. Starting May 27, guests can experience two brand-new shows: The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. Both are expected to draw big crowds and give guests more options beyond the park’s already tight ride lineup.
At the same time, Disney is saying goodbye to a few familiar favorites. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has officially shut its doors, and MuppetVision 3-D is not far behind. The beloved attraction is entering its final weeks, and Cast Members have been told they’ll be the last to see it before it closes for good.
That whole area, according to Disney, is being reimagined into a new Monsters, Inc.-themed land, giving guests something fresh to look forward to.
Between the cleaned-up entrance, the new shows, and the land transformation on the horizon, it feels like Hollywood Studios is turning a page. And while Keystone Clothiers’ repair might not seem groundbreaking, it’s the kind of little detail that brings the big picture together.
It may have taken a while, but the corner has finally been turned—literally and figuratively. Guests walking through the gates now get a fully restored view of Hollywood Boulevard, and that’s something worth celebrating.
