Petition to Get Amber Heard Fired for Abusing Johnny Depp Breaks 2.5 Million Signatures

Johnny Depp

As the dual defamation case between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard comes to a close, and the evidence pointing to Heard’s abuse of the Depp mounts, fans are rising up to have her removed from the upcoming film Aquaman 2.

According to Change.org, the petition titled “Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2”  has reached well over 2.5 million signatures and reads, in part:

Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp. In his $50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one incident where she punched him twice in the face and another where she shattered his finger with a vodka bottle, and his finger had to be surgically reattached. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.

While Amber Heard has managed to keep her acting career afloat, Johnny Depp has “lost everything.” It was reported that the allegations posted in Heard’s Washington Post OpEd were enough for Disney to decide to end their relationship with Depp and his tenure as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.

Depp said:

“Captain Jack Sparrow was a character I built from the ground up and was something that I, of course, put a lot of [myself] into the character and also having worked on these films with these people and added much of myself, much of my own re-writing of the dialogue and scenes and jokes. I didn’t quite understand how, after that long relationship and quite a successful relationship certainly for Disney, that suddenly I was guilty until proven innocent.”

The hurt over Disney’s dismissal has gone deep with Depp and the actor said that he would not return to the role even if Disney offered him $300 Million.
