Disney Weddings shared the details of newlyweds Olivia and Chris recently tied the knot at Disney’s Yacht Club. The couple chose Shipwreck Beach at the resort for their venue because it was reminiscent of their hometowns in the northeast.

Bride Olivia told the Disney Weddings team, “Besides Disney, our favorite place to go is the beach. We live about 1.5 hours from the Jersey Shore, and we rent a house there every summer. We decided to have a Disney wedding at the Yacht Club because it felt like the best of both worlds.”

Shipwreck Beach is a breathtaking venue for a beachy wedding at Walt Disney World with views of Disney’s Boardwalk across Crescent Lake. The couple decorated their ceremony venue by the beach with a beautiful chuppah, palm fawns, and classic white floral details. While planning her wedding, Olivia noted that she tried to stay away from “trends” as much as she could so that the event would be timeless when the couple looked back at their photos from the day for years to come.

The couple’s ceremony was followed by an evening of dinner and dancing at Disney’s Yacht Club Marina, one of the resort’s outdoor venues that offers similarly spectacular views of the lake alongside pristine landscaping. This portion of the event included a full buffet spread plus a signature wedding cocktail in celebration of the new couple.

Olivia and Chris agreed that the part of their wedding they will remember most was the firework dessert party they treated their Guests to in EPCOT’s World Showcase. “We wanted to make every moment memorable and unique for our guests. Most of our guests have never been to Disney, let alone a Disney wedding,” Olivia said, “We knew this would be a moment that no one would forget and we wanted to make it perfect for our guests.”
