If you have been following the ongoing defamation trial between Johnny Depp and his former spouse, Amber Heard, you may have heard about the actor’s series of LA penthouse apartments. The actor known for his iconic portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise owns not one, or two, but in fact five penthouses at the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles that have gone on and off the market since the alleged events being discussed during the trial.
Photos of the apartments shared by SCMP.com give us a glimpse into the penthouses:

The bohemian sort of decor looks to be what many fans would have imagined for just one of the homes owned by the talented actor. As has been noted multiple times if you have been listening in to the testimonies from the trial, Depp owned five separate penthouses in the building that he either used as entirely separate rooms or allowed friends and family to stay in them.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is a fan of all types of art, including paintings, sculpture, poetry, and literary art, so it seems to suit his style that the living room would be adorned with various pieces of artwork.
With the condos going on and off the market over the years, it should be noted that the units may be sold together or separately. Individually four of the units are two-bedroom apartments and one is a one-bedroom, but together they include 11,500 sq. ft. of living space.

The Eastern Columbia Building is one of the greatest examples of original art deco architectural styles from the 1930s that can still be seen in Los Angeles today. While the interior of these condos was decorated by Depp (or likely a designer working with the actor) they do manage to reflect some of the building’s original art deco accents as well as his personal style.

Perhaps one of the greatest parts of Depp’s LA penthouses is the rooftop terrace. It’s immaculately decorated and offers sweeping views of the city from the top of the 13-story building.
The collection of condos is not currently on the market, but all five units were last listed in 2016 for $12.38 million.
