Reminder: Disney Theme Parks Open One Hour Early Tomorrow

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, all of the Disney Theme Parks in Anaheim, California, near Orlando, Florida, and outside Paris, France, will open one hour earlier than previously.

That is because Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disneyland Paris, and Walt Disney Studios Park reside in parts of the United States and France that adhere to the annual and controversial mandate known as Daylight Savings Time.

That’s right, during the night between Saturday, March 11, and Sunday, March 12, the clocks will villainously “spring forward,” costing Guests and Cast Members alike an hour of precious sleep and resulting in Theme Park operations and reservations from Character Dining to Lightning Lane Access commencing one hour earlier than Standard Time’s clock. Would-be Guests of the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris Resort, and the Walt Disney World Resort should consider turning in early to make up for the lost rest and be able to take on another Disney Theme Park day with vigor.

Of course, it is not just Theme Park plans that are at stake here. There are flights to catch in and out of Disney-relevant airports like Orlando International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, as well as any trains and paid ground transportation to and from those locations.

Now, it is 2023, and most clocks automatically reset, but we wanted to send a warning to double-check, so you are not mimicking The White Rabbit from Wonderland pointing at your watch and screaming, “I’m late for a very important date!”

We recommend that those of you staying on Disneyland or Disney World Resort property with early-morning plans request a complimentary wake-up call from the front desk. For those of you with no plans, there is no better day to sleep in and spend as your Resort Hotel and Disney Springs day.
